ParadeDB is a Postgres-native alternative to Elasticsearch. We are building a unified Postgres platform for transactions, text and vector search, filters, facets, and joins, so you don’t need to move your data to a separate database.

Companies like Modern Treasury, BILT Rewards, Alibaba Cloud, and many others use ParadeDB to:

• Eliminate ETL/change data capture tools
• Add transactional guarantees to their search indexes
• Perform JOINs on their search data
• Unify their search & transactional stack for agentic workloads

We're a small, focused team of engineers dedicated to creating an inclusive and enjoyable work environment. We’re based in San Francisco, with some of our team working remotely across the US and Canada. We’re a Series A company with a flat structure, strong backing from investors, and plenty of room for growth.

What we want

We’re looking for a site reliability engineer (SRE) to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate should have:

• Meaningful experience operating production infrastructure and customer-facing systems with demanding uptime and reliability requirements
• Experience operating Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure in production environments
• Experience building and operating infrastructure with tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and Bash/Python
• Experience designing and maintaining observability, monitoring, alerting, incident response, CI/CD, and operational automation systems
• Experience engaging directly with customers in a solutions engineering, SRE, platform engineering, or Bring-Your-Own-Cloud environment
• Experience operating Postgres or other stateful systems in production is a strong plus
• Experience with CloudNativePG, database operators, or database infrastructure platforms is a plus
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch-type workloads, analytical databases, or Rust is a plus
• Prior experience at a small, high-performing startup is a plus
